On December 5–6, the ProvidenciaWPB community will gather for our Story Group Retreat—a sacred space to pause, reflect, and explore the stories that have shaped us. Together, we’ll learn the importance of honoring our story, listenig to others, and finding renewel. We will be inspired to experience compassion, honor one another’s journeys, and rediscover the threads of grace, resilience, and belonging woven through our lives.

Whether you’ve been part of a Story Group before or you’re simply curious, this retreat is an open invitation to come as you are.

Over the last two years, we have had the opportunity to begin actively caring for our intracostal waterway through the Tarpon Cove Island Project. On Saturday, 9/20 from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m., we will have our third opportunity to care for the islands and our intracostal wildlife. Memorial Presbyterian Church and Providencia WPB have been asked to provide 15 volunteers for the cleanup. Easter Sunday

We are looking forward toward celebrating Easter together. On Easter Sunday (4/20), we will NOT be holding our regular service at 5 p.m. Instead, we will be having two morning services. There will be a sunrise service on the beach, south of the clocktower at 6:30 a.m. Look for the white flags. The service will be followed by surf lessons and an egg hunt on the beach. There will also be an Easter service in the church sanctuary at 10:30 a.m., along with Memorial Presbyterian Church. Join us beforehand at 9:15 a.m. for refreshments in the courtyard followed by an egg hunt on the lawn at 10:00 a.m. before service.

Wes and Lani Goodrich will be hosting a potluck for our community, including both Providencia and Memorial, on Palm Sunday (4/13) at 5p.m. Park at South Olive Park and walk over to Rutland Rd. Message us for the exact address. Because of this, we will NOT be having our normal 5p.m. service. We invite you to come to the Memorial Presbyterian service at 10:30a.m. that day and then join us during our normal service time at Wes and Lani's house. Join us on April 11th at St. Peter's United Methodist Church for a special evening of service! From 6:00 PM to 9:30 PM, we’ll come together to provide free monthly respite care for children with disabilities and their siblings, offering much-needed support to their families. This is a beautiful opportunity to serve, connect, and show love to our community.

If you are 18 and older joining us, please fill this background form out by the morning of Thursday 4/10 at the latest so it can be processed to assure families they are being cared for by safe caring volunteers. You can email it to devon.mayo@gmail.com or bring it Wednesday evening to church with you and give it to Ashley Murphy.

Calling Artists

Emily Blaylock, who led worship this past Sunday, works with the Palm Beach County Victim Services and is organizing an event called Healing Through the Arts, a community art showcase designed to raise awareness and promote healing during Sexual Assault Awareness Month. The showcase will be on Saturday, 4/26, from 3-5 p.m. The event is inviting artists to submit works of diverse mediums. No professional artistic background is required to contribute to this awareness event. The submission deadline is 4/1. Submit your pieces through the link below and reach out to Emily with any questions.
